Hand painted chalkware figures are surrounded by ruched ivory fabric with a small paper label that reads: "Jesus Mary Joseph Enlighten Us Assist Us Save Us. This hard to find religious artwork was often displayed in churches, on altars and at religious ceremonies during the late 1800s to early 1900s.
